Her bright smile warms my days, so I pray she can stay.
I spend my time staring at her even though I may be blinded.
At the end of the day she shifts away, I chase and hope to catch her warmth on one last breath.
She takes a dip in the ocean and promises she’ll come the next time.
Sorrow floods me.
But a new friend arrives who I do not recognize.
She shines on the water like crystal lights as she cools me down, on her soft moon light ground.
I’ll think I’ll stay for a while.
Sorrow floods me.
But a new friend arrives who I do not recognize.
She shines on the water like crystal lights as she cools me down, on her soft moon light ground.
I’ll think I’ll stay for a while.
